Compaction Factor Apparatus
As per IS1199:1999 Compaction factor test apparatus consists of,
 1) Two conical hoppers and a bottom cylinder which is arranged as shown in below fig.
2) Steel rod of 1.6 cm Diameter with a length of 61cm is used to tamp the concrete
3) Weight balance is used to weight the concrete.

Compaction Factor Test Procedure

The sample of concrete to be tested shall be placed gently in the upper hopper, using the hand scoop. 
The hopper shall be filled level with its brim and the trap-door shall be opened so that the concrete falls into the lower hopper.
Certain mixes have a tendency to stick in one or both of the hoppers. If this occurs, the concrete may be helped by pushing the rod gently into the concrete from the top.
Immediately after the concrete has come to rest, the cylinder shall be uncovered, the trap-door of the lower hopper opened, and the concrete allowed falling into the cylinder. 
The excess of concrete remaining above the level of the top of the cylinder shall then be cut off by holding a trowel.
Weight the cylinder with concrete to the nearest 10 g. This weight is known as the weight of partially compacted concrete (W1).
Empty the cylinder and then refill it with the same concrete mix in layers approximately 5 cm deep, each layer being heavily rammed to obtain full compaction.
Level the top surface.
Weigh the cylinder with fully compacted. This weight is known as the weight of fully compacted concrete (W2).
Find the weight of the empty cylinder (W).

The slump cone having dimension as (ID-100mm at top ID- 200mm at bottom & length 300mm) is filled with freshly mixed concrete and is tamped with a tamping bar in four layers. The top of the concrete is levelled off with the top of the slump cone, the cone is lifted vertically up and the slump of the sample is immediately measured.Slump Test Apparatus is with testing rod & base plate.

Specification: The L Shape box is used for determining the passing ability rate of freshly mixed self compacting concrete. The distance between 12 mm diameter bars can be set between 41±1 mm or 59±1 mm. L Shape box is designed for ease of cleaning the vertical and horizontal hoppers.

The V Funnel Apparatus is used to evaluate the flow time of freshly mixed self-compacting concrete. The test set consists of a stainless steel funnel placed vertically on a supporting stand. The discharge orifice is equipped with a lid, which can be momentarily opened.

S.N Scientific Solution Soil Pocket Penetrometer also called a hand penetrometer is constructed of stainless steel. It is a simple, lightweight, handheld device made for instant estimates of the unconfined compressive strength of cohesive soils. Although it does not replace laboratory Unconfined Compressive Strength Test Systems for the determination of unconfined shear strengths, the Pocket Penetrometer is a valuable tool for providing approximate values quickly.
It is specified for soil strength estimates when evaluating the stability and safety of trench excavations. Such evaluations can determine the need to modify slope angles or to reinforce excavations with shoring. The penetrometer can be purchased in the Soil Classification Set which includes various tools and instruments for field evaluation and classification of soil characteristics.
The 0.25in (6.4mm) diameter penetration piston is pushed into the soil surface to a groove machined on the piston at 0.25in (6.4mm) depth. Penetration resistance from the calibrated spring is registered on an integrated scale engraved on the penetrometer barrel. Scale units are shown in tons per square foot (tsf) or kg/cm², and a sliding indicator ring retains the reading until reset.
Stainless steel heavy-duty construction of the pocket penetrometer ensures a long, corrosion-free service life. The calibrated steel spring is plated for rust resistance. An optional adapter foot attachment increases the piston diameter from 0.25in (6.4mm) to 1in (25mm), increasing the surface area 16 times for testing very soft soils.

Flow table test of concrete:
As the name suggests, in this test the workability of concrete is determined by examining the flowing property of concrete.
Flow table test of concrete also determines the Quality of Concrete concerning its consistency, cohesiveness and the proneness to segregation.As there are two methods to find the flow value of concrete which one is outdated. Here we are explaining the new method of flow table test. This new flow table test is covered with BS 1881 part 105 of 1984 and DIN 1048 part I.
Apparatus of Flow Table Test:
Flow table made of metal having thickness 1.5mm and dimensions 750mmx 750mm, tamping rod made of hardwood, Scoop, Centimeter Scale, Metal Cone or mould (Lower Dia = 20cm, upper Dia = 13 cm, Height of Cone = 20cm). The middle portion of flow table is marked with a concentric circle of dia 200mm to place a metal cone on it.
